EDGED OUT RECORDS
THE NAME & THE VIBEyou can't push us cuz we went over the edge

Edged Out Records is more than a label name. It's a life condition. We were pushed beyond the margins — culturally, professionally, politically, artistically — and insetad of breaking us it turned us into an unstoppable creative force.

We hear the world's cry for help, and answered the call:we refuse to get sanded down and washed away for the sake of comfort, trends, or gatekeepers.

Our mission is: to make & release music that resonates with people — and injects our soul into the bloodstream of this planet.

THE CREWwho's behind the label
Mattske

MATTSKE

Artist • Producer • Tech Lead

With 25+ years of civic activism, investment analysis, and creative work, Mattske has become a Songwriter/producer like none other. He is the creative engine of Edged Out Records, and a dedicated boundary pusher. With a B.A. in Philosophy from Temple University, Mattske has sought to put his philosophic nature to good use. Mattske has been playing, recording, and performing musical arts for most of his life. The introduction of artificial intelligence tools to his workflow created a profound acceleration, to where his ideas become reality faster than ever.

Ten Kelly

TEN KELLY

Artist • Producer • Operations

Kristen is a trend setting taste maker, who has always been ahead of her time. She brings a sense of artistic apprecation, and devotion to craft, which has grounded the label in professionalism and integrity. Her presence is both calming and inspiring in the studio, and she has shaped the songwriting process for Mattske and this label in a profound way. Ten Kelly understands the emotional and mental processing that people go through while listening to music, and infuses that in every personai and every project before releasing.

Eor

EOR

Proprietary Model • Mascot

Eor is the mythical mecha cupid who brought Mattske and Ten Kelly together to make this historically awesome record label. Part robot, part love deity, Eor is a proprietary model reminder that AI can amplify output — but the human spine of the work, and the love at the center of it, is what makes it matter. By bridging the gap between digital precision and human soul, Eor ensures every release from Edged Out Records carries that unmistakable spark of creation.

MUSICAL FOUNDATIONS

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSwhat we bring to every session

MUSIC THEORY

Harmony, modes, chord function, key relationships, modulation, counterpoint. Functional knowledge that translates across genres and AI tools — not conservatory jargon, but the working language of why music moves people and how to make it move them on purpose.

COMPOSITION

Building songs from the idea outward. Melody construction, hook architecture, motif development, and the discipline of writing to identity — where the persona's voice determines every choice. Over 1,500 compositions and counting, each one written with intent, not accident.

ARRANGEMENT

The discipline of knowing what to leave out and when to bring it in. Intro/verse/chorus dynamics, instrumentation layering, tension-release cycles, bridge construction, and the architecture that separates a demo from a record. Every section earns its place.

RECORDING TECHNIQUES

Mic placement philosophy, signal chain logic, gain staging, room treatment awareness, and the analog-to-digital bridge. From Tascam Portastudios to modern interfaces — understanding how sound gets captured shapes how it gets made.

AUDIO ENGINEERING

Mixing, EQ, compression, spatial effects, stereo imaging, mastering fundamentals. Understanding the signal path from source to speaker — and how every decision in the chain affects the final output. The technical ear that complements the creative one.

PERFORMANCE ART

Mattske has performed live for tens of thousands of people across his career — from freestyle cyphers at Temple University that became a documentary film, to stages and venues that taught him how crowds breathe. Stage presence, audience reading, improvisation under pressure, and the knowledge that recorded music serves the performance, not the other way around.
